Panasonic Infotainment vs SmartNav 2.0 and NavPlus HD
SmartNav 2.0 and NavPlus HD are the same generation of factory system — Peterbilt on one side, Kenworth on the other. The Panasonic Infotainment system is what Paccar is putting in new trucks now. If you already have gen-2 wiring, it drops in the same screen and radio openings.
Panasonic Infotainment
The current dealership / new-truck system. Built around Apple CarPlay®, truck navigation, and up to four cameras.
- Apple CarPlay® and Siri / Google Voice through CarPlay
- Trimble CoPilot truck navigation, 2 years of map updates included
- Simple radio face: three large buttons, volume knob, front USB
- Wi-Fi, OTA updates, SiriusXM, Bluetooth music and calling
- Up to 4 cameras with adapter PP207341 (analog or 720P, not mixed)
SmartNav 2.0 & NavPlus HD
The previous factory generation. Same 7" resistive screen idea, more of the older radio deck — including a CD player and virtual gauges.
- CoPilot truck navigation (map updates via PanaPacific downloads)
- Bluetooth, voice command, SiriusXM, Wi-Fi, OTA updates
- CD player with MP3, front and rear aux, USB including rear USB on the display
- Virtual gauges

Short version: Want CarPlay, a simpler radio face, and the system new trucks ship with? That’s Infotainment. Want to stay on the older factory generation — CD player, virtual gauges, same cameras you may already have wired for PP207020? That’s SmartNav 2.0 or NavPlus HD.
Fitment
Infotainment kits are split by make, model, and baud rate (250K on many trucks through about 2018, 500K on newer). SmartNav 2.0 and NavPlus HD kits are split by cab size and factory sound package. If the plug on the back of your current radio doesn’t match the listing photo, stop and ask before you order.
