Q. Can I replace the stereo with an aftermarket and still use the navigation screen?
A. No you can not. The system is comprised of two major components; the stereo and the touch-screen. These components work hand in hand. One will not function without the other. If you want to replace your Nav+ with an aftermarket stereo you'll need the bypass kit PP807029-003

Installing the Nav+ HD System

A detailed install instruction packet is included with every system we ship. Following the instructions you will remove and disconnect the existing touch screen and stereo. Depending on your KW model and features you'll have a few cables and a bluetooth mic to remove. After replacing the old cables and mic with those included in the kit, connect the new stereo and touch screen. That wraps it up. Most drivers can do this on their own in a single afternoon.
