Some International models series: 4000, 7000, and 8000 built September 2002 through 2007 will have a small white 12-pin connector on the instrument panel harness. This 12-pin connector can be converted to the modern ISO-DIN connector using this Yazaki 7222-1224 (PP202147) harness. In most cases the Panasonic connector is hard-wired at the factory. In some cases it can actually be unplugged and your truck will then require a different adapter. If you find that your Panasonic connector can be unplugged, please see the STS Truck Wiring Detective for more options.
This wiring adapter converts the small white 12-pin factory Panasonic connector in your truck to the new standard ISO-DIN plug. After plugging in this Yazaki 7222-1224 (PP202147) adapter you will be able to directly connect to any DEA355, DEA5XX, or DEA7XX series stereo. This includes all late model Delphi and all current model Aptiv brand heavy-duty truck stereos found on the STS website.
If you wanted to install an aftermarket stereo such as Alpine, Jensen, Kenwood, Pioneer etc.., you should use this Yazaki 7222-1224 (PP202147) wiring adapter plus our PP205250 ISO-DIN to Aftermarket adapter which allows direct wiring to an aftermarket brand connection harness without cutting into your factory wiring.
Keep in mind that when you purchase one of our heavy-duty stereos, this Yazaki 7222-1224 (PP202147) adapter will be included for free with your order.
